Management of wildlife is for most forest landowners an important goal.   Increasing or decreasing habitat is the primary method by
which landowners can achieve this goal.    The methods used to modify the habitat will vary by the species of wildlife you wish to
target.  In most cases manipulation of the structure of the forest is required.   How this is brought about is through the careful
identification of those trees and shrubs that will benefit that species, and taking steps to increase or decrease their number.
Sometimes the actual distribution of those trees may be of significance and steps need to be taken to plant or sometimes remove
trees.

In any case,  years of experience in writing management plans can be drawn on to help you the landowner, achieve your habitat
goals.   There are also other sources of expertise and knowledge that can be tapped too.    When filling out the goals and objectives
portion of the Information survey  be sure to jot down any animal species that you would like to manage for.   Wildlife control may
also be a goal and that can be addressed also.
